I just don't want the six books to be chucked into a dumpster, because nobody was at the Marriott after the event to pick them up.

I'll call the Marriott and see about your box of books. They had not arrived by Sunday and that was the last I heard about the box.

hey, That guy with the please don't hurt me T is from CT (I'm the CT Coord for SAS). He told me that he went over to the MMM to infilterate for a little while, and some lady gushed over that shirt and wanted to know where she could get one. Honest to God. Dom (that's the guy's name) said he about died. The giving stuff away guy loved the shirt too, and filled his hands with CD's, videos, water, etc. It was just way too funny.

This link is to a website that was put together after the rally. http://www.thefreedomshoppe.net/saferrallyforsas/ He is another of my Connecticut people. He did a great job, and I want to give credit where credit is due. I'm very proud of my little state. We may look very liberal to the rest of the country, but we have our little pockets of resistance. The women with the "cold dead hands" sign are from CT, too. The ironic thing is, I never actually met them, and I made that sign the night before. How funny is that?

Thanks for all ya'all do.

Jen

I think you need to host the pictures on a faster site than the 56k modem that it is currently being hosted off of.

Right-click over the photos and select "Show Picture." Works every time.

Maryland & D.C. Tyranny Response Team members were at the SAS rally, until heading down to confront the MMMs on Constitution Avenue, later that afternoon. Though outnumbered 2000 to 7, the TRT survived the onslaught. ;-)

It was fun being there--and it's fun to be back home again!

All in all, our rally was a huge success. Sure, we were disappointed by the low number of people who actually showed up, and would have loved to see many more there.

However, the good things that came out of the SASTERS being together in Washington will have repercussions for us for a long time. We fired each other up, we made plans for the future of the organization, and we made some great contacts.

The newly formed Second Amendment Caucus in House of Representatives is well aware of our organization, and we have pledged to work hand in hand with them at every turn. They gave us some wonderful advice about the best way to get the attention of members of Congress, and we will be putting that advice to work right away.

We will be asking for help from Freepers and others concerned with the whittling away of our Second Amendment rights when we instigate these measures to get the attention of our representatives in Washington.

Thanks to all Freepers who attended the rally, and helped out--especially Angelwood. No one worked as hard as she did to get this thing put together in DC. It was great to see old Freeper Friends there, as well as to meet some of you for the first time.

You all did a great job, nonetheless! You should be proud of the good press coverage you received despite your numbers that day. Your best (most balanced) mainstream media coverage appears to have been from the local MSNBC/NBC affiliate News Ch. 4 and the worldwide Voice of America print and radio network.

TV coverage from Fox News Ch. 5, ABC News Ch. 7 were biased towards the enemy (MMM) and CBS News Ch. 9 basically ignored your rally.

Maybe I just missed the broadcast, but, did anyone see it on c-Span or CNN?

Thanks for the kind words--and also, thanks for letting us know what coverage there was. I did a radio interview with something called WTOP. but I hear that it was edited in a way that did not make any sense.

We do what we can, and can't spend much time worrying about things we have no control over. Basically, these rallies don''t accomplish all that much, and are very expensive and time consuming. We just feel compelled to be there to let those critters in the Capitol know that the poor Misinformed Moms don't speak for all women.

Thanks for the report and photos!!! It was a great day! Hubby and I got pictures taken with Mr. & Mrs. John Ashcroft - after a church service that Sunday morning. Shall I post the pic? Mrs. Ashcroft turned to me and said, "Two years ago on Mother's Day, he bought me a Glock!" LOL!

We visited the Holocaust Museum and kept thinking about how the Nazis disarmed the Jews and then it was lambs to the slaughter. We must never let them take away our guns.

Quick, John! Someone, somewhere, is having fun!

But, if he buys his wife a Glock for mothers day, he can't be ALL that bad...

you know, though... he'd be better off with a 1911 !

:-)

take care

I live in the SF Bay Area, and am surrounded by tens of thousands of people just like these two mooks -- well-educated, comfortable White liberal baby-boomers who have absolutely no sense of irony or absurdity, and who genuinely believe that wearing their cringing wimpiness on their sleeves will protect them from harm. They're pathetic, and the source of much private and public mirth for the hard Left, moderates and conservatives alike.

Hi Jen,

Tell your friend Dom his shirt is a hit. When I was at the MMM rally I spoke with the "free stuff guy" as well, he was a pretty nice person. He said "take as much water as you want! Take a whole case if you can walk away with it!"

Tempting, but it WAS about 10-15 blocks back to the SAS rally!

;-)

Flashbunny, how many shirt designs do you have? I have been making a couple up in Photoshop over the winter, is that what you use?
