All in all, our rally was a huge success. Sure, we were disappointed by the low number of people who actually showed up, and would have loved to see many more there.
However, the good things that came out of the SASTERS being together in Washington will have repercussions for us for a long time. We fired each other up, we made plans for the future of the organization, and we made some great contacts.
The newly formed Second Amendment Caucus in House of Representatives is well aware of our organization, and we have pledged to work hand in hand with them at every turn. They gave us some wonderful advice about the best way to get the attention of members of Congress, and we will be putting that advice to work right away.
We will be asking for help from Freepers and others concerned with the whittling away of our Second Amendment rights when we instigate these measures to get the attention of our representatives in Washington.
Thanks to all Freepers who attended the rally, and helped out--especially Angelwood. No one worked as hard as she did to get this thing put together in DC. It was great to see old Freeper Friends there, as well as to meet some of you for the first time.
