My apologies in advance on this story; I just happened to catch this on several different newscasts a few minutes ago, and I am going by memory as best I can. Unicoi County (Tennessee) sheriffs arrested two Israeli men after a high-speed chase down mountain roads in this east Tennessee locale. While the sheriff was in pursuit, local witnesses noticed that materials were being thrown from the truck as it sped by, well over the posted speed limits. These witnesses were able to locate some of these items; one of which included a jug whose contents became "unusually hot" after the ingredients inside were shaken together. (Goes into the "Hey, y'all...watch this" category, WKWE.) Upon arrest, the police noted that the cab of the truck contained a "Learn How to Fly" brochure, along with passports and Florida licenses that "just didn't seem to add up". The Israelis claimed they were "just in the process of moving some furniture up to Boston". The police also stated that these two Israelis are "not being cooperative in any way." The FBI is investigating the nature of the substance in the jug that was recovered, which has been classified as an "inflammable fuel."
My questions:
1. What ELSE was in this (big yellow) 25-foot Ryder truck?
2. If they were travelling from Florida to Boston, what were they doing on a two-lane back road in the mountains of east Tennessee, several hundred miles WEST of Interstate 95; the most direct route from Florida to Boston?
3. What is the volatile substance in the jug, and why did they wish to avoid getting caught with it? (Why else would they pitch it?)
4. Why are they interested in "Learning How to Fly?"
5. Were they REALLY going to Boston, or were they MORE interested in the nearby Nuclear Fuel Services plant, or, G-d forbid, the huge Eastman Chemical Plant, about thirty miles further up the road?
It will be interesting to see if the national media picks up on this.

This was posted at time it happened but can't remember the name of thread, I know I had several comments. They rented the truck in Madison County, NC, and we were all concerned about the nuclear power plant in TN.
The FBI came and got those men, they verified that they were NOT Israeli's, the passports were stolen. I do believe they were deported, but to where I don't remember...this is at least a month old story. It was on another thread, or I spoke of it in another thread.

I wish we'd closed our eastern border in the late 1800s. We're on the lookout for Travelers, neo-NAZIs and similar organized crime visitors in my state.
Do you have a link? This is the first I heard that they were not Israelis, and this is inconsistent with everything else that I read about this episode.
I only live 50 miles from where this happened in WNC. A few days after the news broke and the TN police called in the FBI, there was another local news Channel 13 story that said the men were not Israeli's and the passports were not theirs. At the time I thought maybe they were Arab Palestinians because they do have a country, and must travel on an Israeli passport, something most people do not understand.
The FBI had supposedly taken custody and removed the men to Wash, DC, then I heard again on radio that they had been deported, which angered me. WHY would you do that, just because they weren't caught in the act doesn't mean they did not have plans for evil. Of course, no crime, no time.
BUT to deport them means they have opportunity to recoup and come back illegally again.
I will look for a news article, link, but it was on radio and local tv news. If I find one I will send it to you.

First you must understand that Israel and Al Quada are enemies and would not collaborate on anything...we are talking Jews vs Muslim here. It would be the Arab Palistinians who would help Al Quada as both are muslim.
The Israeli's had nothing to do with 9/11...that is erroneous rumor.
The KKK and the NAAACP do not work together, this is same thing.
Next, there has been established link between Iraq/Sadaam Hussein and Al Quada/bin Laden...your liberal press won't give you that news, but we manage to get it elsewhere in the world.
So do some research and learn who gets along with whom, when and how and you will understand why certain things cannot be true that you have been told by liberals or your local newspaper.

Two Israeli men who led the Unicoi County (Tennessee) sheriff on a high-speed chase in a rented moving truck were
placed under arrest and are being investigated by the FBI, local officials said.
Shmuel Dahan and Almaliach Naor, both from Israel, were being held without bond Sunday afternoon at the Unicoi
County Jail. The truck, rented from a Ryder office in Mars Hills, N.C., was being held in the county garage pending an
FBI investigation, officials said.
Dahan is charged with reckless driving, littering, false identification and evading arrest, while Naor faces charges of
false identification and evading arrest, an officer with the Unicoi County Sheriff's Department who would not give his
name said Sunday.
An investigation by the FBI is ongoing and more charges are possible, he said. A woman who answered the phone at
the FBI's Knoxville office said there was no one available to answer questions about the arrest.
The incident began late Saturday afternoon when Sheriff Kent Harris noticed a rental truck traveling at a high speed
along former U.S. Highway 23, a lightly-traveled highway near the North Carolina state line.
"I was really concerned because the driver would not stop after I flashed my headlights for nearly three miles," Harris
said. "He was weaving back and forth and I was wondering what a large (rental truck) was doing on the two-lane
highway late Saturday afternoon instead of the faster I-26 Interstate."

"We're not overreacting," Harris said. "We have a responsibility to protect the citizens of Unicoi County and that's what
I'm going to do at any cost. I'd rather overreact, if that's what you call it, than be sorry later."

I posted the correct article on this thread, as they were carrying fake ID's, lied to police, were not really Israeli's..so there is more to this than has been told. They also rented that truck in Madison County, NC not Florida...no furniture in back ,..it was empty...
More room for fertilizer when they got to TN, for use in blowing up the nuclear power plant...they just got caught before they could finish what they were doing.

CLOUDCROFT, NM -- That they were speeding through the school zone first got his attention.
That they had Israeli driver's licenses and expired passports made him suspicious.
Cloudcroft Police Chief Gene Green stopped the 2-ton van on Thursday, for speeding. Initially, Green thought the truck was commercial because of exterior markings. But when he found it was out of Chicago, he asked for documentation such as logs books and manifests.
"They said this is a U-Haul truck and handed me a rental agreement (for) in-town delivery only in Illinois, (which) had expired two days before," Green said. He called for backup, and Otero County Sheriff's Deputy Billy Anders, who patrols the Sacramento Mountains, arrived, along with Capt. Norbert Sanchez and Det. Eddie Medrano.
"We got them out and started digging a little deeper," Green said, "got permission to search the truck. They claimed they were hauling furniture from Austin to Chicago." When officers advised the men they were not exactly en route from one town to another, Green said the two men claimed they were Deming bound. "But they couldn't give us an address in Deming they were going to," he said. "Once we got into the truck, they had some junk furniture I wouldn't have given to Goodwill."
Also inside the vehicle were, Green said, "50 boxes" they claimed was a "private" delivery, but the men insisted they had no "idea what was in them."
At that point, the officers called for drug-sniffing and bomb-sniffing dogs. The men were turned over to the Immigration and Naturalization Service, and U- Haul recovered the truck.
Contents of the boxes remain unknown, pending investigation.

Ay-rabs traveling under false Israeli identity?
You say that you posted an article that said that they were not really Israelis.
Where did you post such an article? Again, your post above is the only place that suggests that they were not Israelis, and it is inconsistent with everything else that has been posted about this episode.
As I recall, the Israeli consul from Atlanta showed up at their trial. Presumably, he would have known whether or not they were Israelis, no?
There is more than one instance of this happening, as I posted on #519...in several different states.
After they were arrested in TN and turned over to FBI, the local news had a follow up story that said the passports were stolen and they were not the Israeli's who owned the passports...but our archives do not go back to beginning of May, so would have to contact local station to get a copy.
I live in area, and heard several stories on this, as I have posted on this thread...just scroll down or back and you will see my posts.
