Chris Wallace Leaves me in Tears

Chris Wallace advertised his Sunday news show as a time to put the names of our fallen soldiers in context.
Ted Koppel had simply read the names of the soldiers who have sacrificed all, the last full measure of devotion, for us to live in peace and for the Iraqis to have a unique and blessed chance to find peace and security and democracy. So, Chris Wallace decided to have a show to put those sacrifices in context, and talk about all the good things that the American soldiers had done in Iraq.
So, I tuned in, and I am still sobbing and shaking with anger remembering how he started the show with over fifteen minutes of a rehash of the last 10 days feeding frenzy over the terrible abuses a few soldiers had perpetrated on some Iraqi prisoners.
CONTEXT?!?!
THIS is the context you want me to remember our war dead!!
You garbage, you thoughtless garbage!
I was too upset to watch the "tribute" which came after the filthy trash.
I'll never watch that cruel, demented show ever again.

Then why was #128 deleted?
I didn't turn you in...so obviously someone other than myself didn't care for your words either.

I saw it on C-Span but NOT live.
If Fox carried it, it was NOT live.

"I wached it, and they did NOT spin it for Hanoi John"
Check the live thread.
I'm not the only one who said they spun it.

When the "Iraq Accomplishment Tribute" segment of the show started, Mr. Wallace read an e mail accusing Fox for being a "front" for the Bush/Cheney White House. He stated that Fox is "Fair and Balanced", and offered the differing opinions in the opening segment as proof I'm so glad to hear that he apologized before he showed the tiny segment on troop accomplishments, to put our war dead in context.
That makes me feel so much better....

"If Fox carried it, it was NOT live."
They, FOX, never carried it at all.
A few "snippets" that did not mention these men were Hanoi Kerry's commanders in Viet Nam.
Then FOX showed Hanoi Kerry's Good reports from the Navy.
AND of course no mention of his book.

Tonkin is right - The press conference
didn't get the coverage it deserved.
Tonk, take heart.
The fine men who bravely
stood up at that news conference
aren't going away.
They will eventually
get their message out.
At the next lull in the news cycle,
reporters will turn to them.
Everyone in the media knows Kerry is
going to go down, but they don't
want it to happen this early in the game -
it's not good for their "ratings."
I know that Kerry doesn't deserve the
privilege of even running for president,
but as long as the traitor is kept out
of the White House, I'll be happy. :)

Ditto! There are times when I am transfixed by the discussion on DM's show and other times when I can't take it and just gotta get outta there (like when Dennis will not speak the truth about Kerry's whole Vietnam 'experience' but insists on not questioning his service---just the truth, that's what I want!)

FOX covered the conference? I remember having to watch it on C-Span 2 but very little actual coverage from FNC. Seems to me they let the Kerry supporter have more time to rebut the statements by the Swifties than they spent reporting on the news conference.

I believe you.
Like I wrote earlier,
I have all but quit watching the news.
Fox has been a great disappointment of late.
This "bring down Bush" campaign has me MAD.

I turned him off today too. By the end of his show I could've sworn I had left CNN on.

The moderator deleted the offensive post, and a bunch of other ones, too. Guess there is still some galantry at FR, and libeling a lady in tears still isn't accepted here.

patriciaruth, you know we have some a-holes here.
arasina is right, "don't think of leaving."
Ignore 'em or hit abuse.
There's 100 of us "wonderful folks"

the mods are quick to zot.

Hey if your blood pressure could have stood it, you should have hung around long enough to hear Cici during the panel discussion talk about First Ladies.
She thinks Teresa Heinz Kerry is an individual but many of the First Ladies have been "Stepfordish" and "cookie cutter" types.
The inference was clear that she was talking about Laura Bush.
I emailed Fox, it was disgusting.

I paid extra just because FOX was not on the basic. I am finding way too many democrats on FOX who just appeared on CNN or ABCCBSNBC or even BBC. They better do something before it becomes FNCCCNNABCCBSNBC.

Who watches ChrisWallace??? Fox stinks with liberals.
