Hard to argue about that.

My favorite argument on the left is to bring back the draft because only those who are poor without resources and no prospect for employment join the military.
Well, the argument AGAINST the draft in the Vietnam era was that only the poor without resources and no prospect for employment are drafted.

Why is Iraq like Vietnam? Because Washington knows the college students and their parents won't support the war if they havc to fight it.

I guess every "war" has some similarities to another, and I get the point. But there's also crucial differences:
1) Vietnam wasn't really a war, since Congress - the only body under the US Constitution that has the power to declare war - never officially authorized action. That's not the case with Iraq.
2) More importantly, with Vietnam, the US public always felt that the was no compelling reason for the US to be there, that it was interfering (more or less) in the internal affairs of some far-away, non-threatening country.
After 911 and direct threats from Saddam / various terrorist scum, the US saw Iraq as a RELEVANT threat to the country.
No matter how hard the leftist media tries to portray Iraq as Vietnam-all-over-again, the public won't bite - they're behind the Iraq operation.
This is not 1968 again (thank God!!!)

I will agree with the lady in all aspects except one. During the Viet Nam War it was not the Democrats that were telling us these things it was the Socialist/Communist (such as John Kerry) running the disinformation campaign.
The Communist infiltration and take over of the Democratic Party was in full swing but they were not yet fully in control. The leaders of the Democratic Party were in favor of the War.
Today the Democratic Party has been almost totally absorbed the Democratic Party and has control of the party platform.
So to be more accurate the lady should have said that the Socialist/Democrat Party is telling us

Maybe we should agree with the Democrats for once and point out to the world that they have done this before, and that they are doing it again.
We need to do something about this.
And so, we DO need to do something about this. TALK to people! Neighbors, friends, anybody. There are many fence-sitters out there, and many who are just so confused by all the crap they see on maindream media, they just don't know what to think. Many of us know some of these folks, so..... TALK to them! All you have to do is point out FACTS (not fabrications), and most folks usually get it!
The other thing to DO..... (yeah, it's a verb) is SUPPORT THE TROOPS! Find a troup support group in your area, and RALLY with that group. Be silent no more! This really IS war, and much of it comes from home.
