Iraq's a major problem for the presidential candidate, one he'd better fix long before November. What's the poor fellow to do?
Sure, that applies to George W. Bush. But - amazingly enough - it also applies to John F. Kerry.

"Mess" characterizes Kerry's campaign.
The central theme of Kerry's run seems to be "I served in Vietnam; vote for me."

My mind won't allow me to think of Kerry as a future President. I keep thinking "God won't allow that!" The turkey is a fake, a phony, a liar, a Clinton type, and an all around disaster waiting to happen. Please dear Lord, have mercy upon us.

The real Iraq "quagmire" is the mendacious swamp of Kerry's Iraq war positions.

a Clinton type No way. Bill had charm and an uncanny political sense. Kerry has nothing but deep pockets and a perpensity to rant.

There are some resemblances between Kerry and clinton, although I agree they are also very different. The chief resemblance is that both of them love their own selves to the point of psychopathology. As someone pointed out earlier today, neither of them thinks of himself as lying. They just want to bask in people's approval by telling them what they want to hear. Clinton did it much better than Kerry.

Bill had charm and an uncanny political sense
43% of the vote in 92
Lost congress to the GOP in 94
Running as an incumbent in peacetime with a fawning press and booming economy in 96 couldn't get 50% of the vote
Yep he sure did

For sure, Bushs record on the war was clear. Opponents can claim it was wrong, but it has been consistent and understandable. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! ~ George W. Bush

No, I don't. It's disappointing and I was surprised the excerpt prompt popped up. It's a trend that will get worse, I'm afraid.
