Copper doesn't form large molecules. Helium is inert, doesn't bond with anything.

Ta!

Sulfur and silicon, maybe...

Sulfur? Too reactive, wouldn't you say?

Science merely is the study of God's creation.

Who is to say life need be something one can see? Couldn't energy life forms exist that could not be "seen", as is common life on Earth? I imagine the range would be huge of possibilities.

Just about anything is possible.

Too narrow has been the thinking of the scientific community, worldwide. From the "Matrix" stories to sci-fi dreaming, it seems that whatever the imagination can conceive, so there could be.

Not worth a thread of its own, but you might want to look at this: Weird life on this world.

Great find! So now Darwin wasn't gay enough, saith the author of ''Evolution's Rainbow: Diversity, Gender and Sexuality in Nature and People.''

Gee, Grandma! What big hands you have!

Your name used to be Jonathan, and you were a male professor until about six years ago.

When you first come out as a transgendered person, you spend your first year in absolute euphoria. Then reality sets in, and you have to make a life and deal with the stigma.

LMFAO. Scientists now have to stop telling dirty jokes in the lab to make science more "gay-friendly." I always wondered why FR's resident scientists had such off-color senses of humor...I guess it comes with the profession.

Deidre (formerly Donald) McCloskey would answer that question very differently.

Roughgarden

For some reason, I'm reminded of the Preppie Murder Case, "I accidentally strangled her during rough sex."

I hate you!
You hate me!
Let's tie Barney to a tree.
A nine millimeter up the head.
Bang! Bang!
Barney's dead!

How many lines of code would it take to make a self-adapting virus?

Less than 100,000 in my case. How badly do you want to know?

Something tells me that sulfur or silicon based life forms wouldn't taste very good.

The silicon ones would be *rather* crunchy.

As for the sulfer based ones, well let's just say they'd put beans to shame, in the end...

A blade of grass is a life form. At some point computers will have to be included as well. What's cool about that is we are their God. Will they worship us someday or be embarrassed?

They will remember us...
