Did Hillary reveal who leaked report in her questioning of Rumsfeld today?
Senate Armed Services Committee ^ | 5/7/04 | Senate Armed Services committee

In today's testimony before the Armed Services Committee Hillary Clinton may have revealed the source of the leak of the report. Please have a look at the relevant snippets of the transcript from today.

I guess my theory is this: If she isn't behind the leak, she knows exactly who is.

Pretty much so. But you do realize that I was 21 or so then, and had owned many albums prior to that, right???

Remember there were pictures of her eating Thanksgiving dinner with these kindof "hard" looking women. Was it one of them? Do we have the pictures from that Iraqi trip? Who was she seen with that was possibly in a position to leak info.

"The focus on the pictures being released is, with all due respect, missing the point."

That statement is also quite a flip-flop from sentiments regarding the leaking of intel committee memos. In that case they didn't want the focus on the content of the memos, but wanted an investigation into how they were released.

Herb Alpert? Actually he's cool, like in ironic cool.

Captain and Tenille? Christopher Cross? Bay City Rollers (again, ironic cool--my first girlfriend was tartan-damaged)?

Debbie Boone?

My favorite C&C skit was the one most reflective of my early teen years--the drive-in.

I thought you were younger then.

I'd guess "Who are you" The who?, but you'd be proud of that one, and should be.

Nope. I think you'd be hard pressed to find *any* coolness in this one. However, I will say that my second favorite song at that time was slightly cooler -- "Puff the Magic Dragon." I think my parents had no idea that it was a druggie song. :)

Oh, I still own my Private Stock Blondie LP. Did you know they were on Don Kirscher's Rock Concert in 1976 doing X Offender with Valentine? That was what sent me out to buy the album.

Dan, remember when the New York Dolls were on Kirscher?

I agree, The fact of the matter is... The DoD was on top of this issue and had launched several investigations immediately after the whistle blower went to his superiors and exposed the violations he witnessed. George W. Bush was not briefed on the seriousness of the matter because only the investigators and their staff had the pictures and sworn affidavits. President Bush immediately responded by leaking to the Press of his disatisfaction in Rummy not briefing him of the seriousness of the matter.

Notice that in today's testimony by Rumsfeld, he said he never saw the pics before they were aired, so Rummy's response to GWB about the Pics had to be.. "Mr. President, I had no prior knowledge of the content of these pics until they were aired on 60 Minutes II"

Something tells me that when Rummy made it clear that someone leaked this report and pics to the Press illegally as he responded to Hillary's question, he was laying down a marker for the future prosecution of the leaker. My guess is that a Clinton appointee's staffer in the DoD leaked the documents and the pics, to either Hillary or one of Kerry's DNC hacks, IMHO there is no other way for these pics and documents to end up in the Press before Rummy had the chance to see them

No matter what happens, the Bush Administration has taken the high road and the RATS have taken their usual low road, in any case it's a win win for Dubya in the end

I thought you were younger then.

You've met me, Dan. Just how old did you think I am?!

I'd guess "Who are you" The who?, but you'd be proud of that one, and should be.

Er, I was about 12 when that was released...

It's was like re-living Kerrys Viet Nam hearings. Too many coincidences all at the same time. Kerry running ads boasting of his Nam serivce, So far Bush far the RATS are batting .000 when it comes to damaging Bush with hearings. Isn't it neat that Rummy had a 70% approval rating hours after he finished his testimony ?

I'm too young to remember that(I wish I was alive for the original Skynyrd). Wern't they and Alice Cooper the precursor to KISS?

The earliest I remember outside of those kid songs was Van Halen's "Jump". I always liked the synthesizers as a little kid.

I ain't touching it now. Might cause some deeply buried NYC GOP Chick trauma to come out and I'd feel real bad if that happened.

Puff the Magic Dragon. Oh Jeez, conjures up a seventh grade girl with hair in pigtails and wearing horn-rimmed glasses, strumming a battered Stella guitar on stage during the talent show while me and the boys were out behind the curtains smoking cigarettes, obessesively lying about personal aspects of lives and making rude noises.

Nah, no trauma -- other than further revelation of the fact that I'm just not cool. ;)

You know, I can actually picture that!

You've met me, Dan. Just how old did you think I am?!

29, of course. :)
