DePaul University - School for New Learning (Chicago, IL): Anthony Lewis, commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient, June 12. Until December 2001, Lewis was a columnist for The New York Times. His columns sharply criticized Attorney General John Ashcroft for "ideological zealotry" because he promised to revoke the drug prescription license of any doctor who participates in physician-assisted suicide, President George W. Bush for refusing to fund family-planning organizations abroad that recommend abortion, and Ashcroft again for supporting a ban on all abortions except to save the mother's life.

Anthony Lewis is also the husband of Supreme Judicial Court Justice Margaret Marshall who was the driving force behind the court's decision to push homosexual 'marriage' in Massachusetts!

Mishmash?

I thought it was well organized, college by college, as the e mail was sent to thousands of people.

Here's another view. Austin Ruse (stalwart pro-lifer head of C-FAM) was asked by an interviewer about Martino:

" Let me ask another question with some immediate political implications. In working at the UN, you were in close contact for several years with then-Archbishop Renato Martino, who was the Holy See's representative there until this year. Now Cardinal Martino, in his new capacity as president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, has gained new prominence as a highly outspoken critic of US policies. What were your impressions of Cardinal Martino?

Ruse: At the UN, on these issues, there was nobody better than Archbishop Martino was for 14 years. He deserves our praise and our undying thanks. While the Holy Father was the guiding force, the man who did the work at the UN was Archbishop Martino. He was unbending: perfect on these issues. He was the great unsung hero of the pro-life movement at the UN.

Santa Clara University's Law School Dean of Admissions has the title "Dean of Admissions and Diversity Services". They currently reserve 60% of admissions for "under represented minorities in the legal profession. I'll let you guess what these are. White male applicants are being denied admissions in favor of minorities with lower LSATs and poorer GPAs from inferior schools.

Like Alan Bakke, the Vietnam war veteran with high test and MCAT scores who couldn't get into medical school
