Who can we write to about this. All this apologizing is making me sick. I thought the President was stronger than this.

You can write to anybody you want. I think the President was correct to apologize for the abuse. It was wrong, should not have happened, and should never happen again.
The issue is whether "apologize" is equivalent to "give up." On that note, I see that our guys killed 40 salamikazes the other day in Najaf.

I thought the President was stronger than this.I sent a heated email to my congressman this morning, and had to basically copy and paste to a word document. I was sooooooo mad, I couldn't type properly. My Senators are getting a similar email today. This makes me sick to my stomach.

As long as the dims are on this apologizing one-note, I'd like to hear the Tower widders demanding that Jamie Gorelick for hogtying the FBI and CIA so much that terrorists killed their husbands and 3000 others.

The president was right to apologize. That said, one apology is enough, simply because no amount of apology will be enough. More apologizing would be the equivalant of weakness.

Saying that a mistake was made is not a dishonorable thing to do.
It actually takes a bigger and stronger man to do that.
Your comment was hysterical.

I thought the President was stronger than this.Read the transcript. His only mistake was opening the door a crack. The press who want us to apologize for being the United States, seized their opportunity. President Bush is not weak, weak is asking the criminal justice system, to fight our enemies.

Howlin asked; "Who can we write to about this. All this apologizing is making me sick. I thought the President was stronger than this."
It seems to me that the precedent for apologizing was established by former President Clinton when he apologized for slavery on his trip to Africa.
