I think that's what Rummy's saying: if he did search out criminal files for things like this, he risks compromising those trials. If he doesn't, he risks something like this. Damned if you do, damned if yuo don't. That is what I was thinking .. I didn't know for sure though

So Rumsfeld-- the Commander-in-Chief's point man on stuff like this-- can't be fully informed on stuff like this? That's garbage. If he really believes that, he should step down. I voted for Bush so he could make informed decisions and lead and he can't do that if everyone keeps secrets from him.
