In Iraq 43,000 captured, 31,000 released, 4,000 for further processing plus other status. 7,000 to 8,000 currently detained. Need to see they're properly identified, that their families know why they're there. Only ones that need to be detained are criminals or terrorists or those with intelligence value -- have to find out what they know.

Tearing down Saddam statues was symbolic, perhaps just as important to tear down Abu Graib. Expects responsible action will be taken re chain of command.
