compare John F'n Kerry that with the soldier/Marine firing his shotgun from a stretcher as his buddies removed him from the battlefield . . .

I've been reluctant to say much about Kerry's band aid injury. But darn. An entire group is now speaking out about him, his former 'war buddies'. It's looking rock-solid. He could have administered his own 'emergency' surgery on a 3-4 mm wound. Step one: take right hand. Step two: pull metal sliver out. Even if it's barbed, so what? The band aid hero. Good grief. He falls from bikes. He falls off skis. He gets one band aid purple heart that we know about. He votes for body armor before voting against it. Surely after such an injury, he should know how important body armor is. But Vietnam apparently didn't teach him much, did it?

Kerry didn't even bother to start a body armor bake sale, for goodness sake.

I really hope those Swift Boat veterans keep plugging away at getting some coverage. It really was appalling to see AP and such (including the Boston Herald, our supposedly "conservative" paper) mention their press conference only in a story about the Dem response -- weird!

"
We now have convincing evidence that John Fitzgerald Kerry, Democrat presumptive presidential candidate, is a two-bit con man and a danger to the nation."
Something that Americans, with a discerning desire for "character" in their elected representatives, knew all along.
[and I'm not referring to any of those inbred Marxist socialist democrats living here and enjoying our freedoms, and what's left of our Constitution]

The wound in question has been described by Louis Letson, the doctor who treated Kerry at a medical facility in Cam Ranh Bay. It was about 3-4 mm. deep (around 0.15 inches). A metal fragment about 1 cm. long and 2-3 mm. in diameter penetrated the wound. (At these dimensions it was more like the tiny metal splinter sitting on a mosquito bite.) The splinter was pulled off without difficulty and the "wound" was covered with a band aid. Oh good grief, if it had happened to me I would've just grabbed the protruding end between fingernails and plucked it out. Don't the troops carry first aid kits capable of handling situations worse than this?

Wonderful tagline."
Good morning.
From all the screaming from the "dark side", I'd judge GWB very highly right now.

Great post - thank you!!! BTTT!!!
KetchUp-Kerry was in Vietnam ... during the war?
No way ... far too few "wake ups" to qualify ...Oh, wounded three times ... count 'em three (3) ... and he asks (read finagles) for a "quick out" ...
No way ... if the citizens of the US had known of klintoon's draft-dodging or the Colonel Homes letter or the Carter pardon of klintoon ... If the media had dug and dug and dug ...

I gues it shows that you don't learn much when you shoot yourself in the foot. Maybe that's why he falls down so much.

You might want to buy a copy of the latest Investor's Business Daily (Monday, May 24 edition). On the editorial page you will find
Ex-Navy Officer Pokes Holes In Kerry's Vietnam Resume by David Isaac. It contains an interview with John O'Neil, which begins:
On May 4, a remarkable, though underreported, press conference took place at the National Press Club in Washington announcing the formation of a new group: Swift Boat Veterans for Truth: [snip]
IBD: John Kerry's entire chain of command said he is unfit to be commander in chief. Do you feel it was adequately covered by the press?O'Neill: No. Understand that having spend so many millions and millions of dollars in advertising to portray himself as a war hero, it's very hard for people to even sit and listen to the first-party testimony that we had and realize they've been taken by him.
But the truth is the mainstream press has simply been taken, by which I mean ttally duped by him.
IBD: Did the Associated Press cover the event?
O'Neill: A reporter from the Associated Press attended the news conference and then refused to write a story on it.
AP received many inquires asking, "Why have you not run a story on it?" They simply issued a statement saying they didn't believe it added anything to the dialogue between veterans and John Kerry.
The article goes on to describe Kerry's first "war wound" in detail and how Kerry claimed to "be running for president" back in 1969...
