[history]
The participation of female soldiers in the mistreatment of Iraqi men at Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison was probably the most dangerous aspect of the affair, Arab and American experts on Islam said yesterday.
They warned of reprisals by the victims' tribes as a possible religious obligation.

I know women who don't debate the subject of war matters. They decline because they feel we should have gone in with
Nucular Weapons at the beginning.
I hope the Arabs understand. I know Kerry doesn't.

Frankly, I'm of the overwhelming force brigade!
Tough if the rest of the so called 'civilized' world doesn't like it!
Except for our real allies, of course.

Sure, she's just a young 21 year old woman. Worth nothing to the islamos. Maybe not to anyone else either. Very expendable.

Oh my, I don't even want to go there...

"This had to be a conscious policy to add the element of shame to the physical pain inflicted on Iraqis. To Muslim Arabs, it would have been inconceivable to be placed in that degree of vulnerability before a woman," he said.
dammit, I think they are on to us....

I was serious about a Fatwah. There is NOTHING a Muslim hates more than a woman who they perceive "humiliated" them.

"Mr. Ali said a more sensitive administration would not have put a female general in charge of thousands of male prisoners, explaining that this "is simply not acceptable in our culture."
Who cares what the hajjis think is culturally acceptable? Their cultural 'sensitivities' do not dictate our staffing or military chain of command. What the Iraqis seem to forget is that they gave up their sovereignty to Saddam Hussein, we took it forcibly from him on April 9th 2003, and until June 30th, 2004 the United States and Great Britain ARE the sovereigns in Iraq. Until that time, the Iraqis must be 'sensitive' to our customs and dictates as we are the powers in charge.
If we have an incompetent female (or male) General in charge, then the system will correct the problem. I am sure that if Condi Rice was President now the Arabs would find it unacceptable to be occupied by US Armed Forces under the command of a female Commander-in-Chief. The Arabs always seem to forget that their cultural mores stop having relevance when they assume others must change their ways so as not to offend the easily offended Arab...

Yes, you are right, but when things reach the level of trying to take down Rumsfeld level cabinet officials, I get testy. The media is putting on a full court press that has nearly reached the level where the Justice Department could evaluate whether charges could actually be level against certain players.
Demanding seditious activity cease or licenses will be yanked, certainly sounds within reason at this point. Any reasoned assessment of CBS evening news presentations over the last six months would show that 90% of their coverage was anti-US and essentially pro-Bin Laden and his allies.
Why should we stand for this?

It would be a twist of fate if the homicide bombers would find, upon entering Paridise, that their virgins all looked like Lynndie England and every one of them held a leather leash and said in unison, "Git down on youer hans and knees Boy! We're goin' ta make yew squeeeeel like a pig!!" The music that will be playing will be from the movie Deliverance.

By the time she gets out of prison, either Islam will have been eradicated from the planet or will dominate the planet.

I'd love to see a free and honest poll of Iraqi women on this subject.

By the time she gets out of prison, either Islam will have been eradicated from the planet or will dominate the planet. Well it is obvious that she will get the max. She is now the FACE. The sad thing is that there is a female Brigadier General that should be busting rocks beside her.

There is one example even more disturbing...
Joe (chia pet) Biden said, on the Senate floor, that it would have been better if the prisoners had been shot.
I have a message for the liberal Republicans and Democrats calling for Rumsfield's head. SHUT THE HELL UP! If he goes John Kerry will lose this election by a landslide. EVERYONE in FLYOVER COUNTRY LOVES RUMSFIELD!

The media has the same problem as John Kerry when his base finds out he has a private Island and five houses worth $36 million.

Mr. Sullivan said. "I certainly would not want to be an American hostage in Iraq right now."
But until this incident, being an American hostage in Iraq was sweeeeeeet. This is the dumbest thing I've heard said all week, and it's been a hell of a week for dumb people.

Arab and American experts on IslamWhat qualifies someone for this title? If it is like all the "experts" on all other matters on television talk shows they are worthless.

The Islamokazis think they can use Bin Laden to threaten our leaders and that we are not going to pre-emptively act this time. If I was a Saudi Sheik I'd be sleeping in an underground bunker below the radiation level.

The sad thing is that there is a female Brigadier General that should be busting rocks beside her. No doubt big buds with Hillary. She had the Clinton administration stacked with her "friends".
If anyone wonders how we got in this mess it's called BILL & HILLARY CLINTON so-called running the country for eight years.

The sad thing is that there is a female Brigadier General that should be busting rocks beside her.Precisely. This group of deviant fools has made it more likely that our good soldiers and Marines will be targets...their incompetent leader should be the first to be held accountable.
In retrospect, this should have been handled swiftly when it was first reported several months ago. We could have said "yes this happened...and here is a tape of the perps being shown their quarters in Fed prison." That would have made a HUGE difference.
BTW, I would really like to know WHO made these photos public. If, as everyone suspects, this was done for political purposes...that individual should receive the same treatment for endangering our troops.

"What if a major Sunni tribe decided to take reprisals against America, or American prisoners?" Mr. Sullivan said. "I certainly would not want to be an American hostage in Iraq right now." </I. Do the Sunni have frequent flyer miles? I don't think Southwest flies to the Middle East. These idiots who write columns like this, make me sick....
