Isn't it interesting that Biden thinks it would be better if we would have shot the POWs? Where is the outrage over that?

He'll calm down and come to his senses about this He darn well better! He & a lot of freepers are behaving in a very disloyal way today

You just wont stop with the personal attacks and name calling will you? Typical Hillary like response from you Joe, when the truth about you, Joe, is pointed out.
You, Joe, go into automatic knee jerk victim syndrome.

and then, well, then there will be the actual election. THEN it will be all over. and then there will be a withdrawn concession speech, and then the French-looking guy will say "You don't have to get snippy about it", and our troops overseas will have their votes tossed, and then the local "high" court will rule, and there will be an appeal, and then the next higher court will issue a stay, and the case will be remanded, and ruled on again, and then another stay will be issued, and then a ruling will be handed down.
Then it will be over. Until 2008.

"In Viet Nam, Kerry has suggested that he killed non combatants!"
Yes!! WHEN is someone going to demand that Kerry stand trial for the war atrocities and murders he committed? We have his confession on videotape, for Pete's sake! I believe there is no statute of limitations on wartime murders, judging by how recently Nazi criminals have been tried. He needs to be arrested and tried. Why would he NOT be; why is he special?

First reaction was upset that President Bush said he was sorry this happened. A few minutes later, I laughed. Any further clamoring by libs/demsDem's do will be perceived as piling on the troops during these difficult times.Bingo this is why he said what he said.

I admire what you do for the troops, but why must everyone who is a little taken aback by this apparent cave pegged as a Chicken Little?
I'm not calling everyone who doesn't seem to get what's going on Rip Van Winkles.

"Why the hell is he apologizing to Jordan's King Abdullah? "
He didn't apologize to King Abdullah. All he said was that he was sorry for the humiliation the prisoners felt and sorry that people (not unlike some on this board) will get the wrong impression of our country (due to the irresponsiible actions of a few soldiers).

Yu are a troll on all these threads, spreading gloom and doom.
You continually post vanity threads about what you think -- and it's always anti-Bush.
Buck up.

.don't you think there's a WEE bit more connection between the CinC and members of the military in a war (however aberrant they are), and a random kidnap/murder?? No, not in the post I was replying to.
Your complete lack of logic and rational thought is stunning.
Your lack of intellectual honesty is humdrum and predictable.

One would have had to see the President when he made the speech. It was heartfelt. President Bush expressed what he felt and is all the more of a man for it. The buck stops on his desk not on Rush's or anyone elses.

Why apologize to King Abdullah, of all people? I think that's actually pretty clever of the Prez - Abdullah is a U.S. ally, he's just had a real al-Qaeda/WMD scare, he's been a rock of support for our intelligence efforts, and the guys we really don't like, (Syrians, Iranians) have been trying to destabilize him for years. Said to him this bolsters his standing in the Arab world. Great move, IMHO.

Howlin, as soon as I type this, I'm going to stand up and cheer for you. Get ready, you might hear it all the way across the country.

Because Rush, just like you, didn't LISTEN to what Bush said.My question was based on preliminary info that Bush had apologized to King Abdullah for the humiliation suffered by Iraqi prisoners. Now what part of that understanding would change if I had been sitting in on Bush's meeting with the King of Jordan?
To: Mo1; Howlin
LOL! Hope you TYPED it slowly too, so some folks can REALLY GET IT!
Howlin, you have mail.

Not a cogent response, given your assumption that "swing" voters will ignore the pro-Kerry context in which the excerpted presidential apology is embedded.
That said, I do hope you're right. Hibernius
