Terri is not hooked up to machines. There are no "plugs to be pulled". A feeding tube is like a port if you know what a port is.

Terri is not brain dead. Terri can swallow but they won't allow swallowing tests because if the world found out that she didn't need the feeding tube, they couldn't KILL HER. That's the bottom line. Careful or you will be labelled a troll sent here to disrupt.

FV, I know that those of us who are current on the Terri threads often get emotional about her, especially on days like today when we get bad news. But I think it would be a good idea to calm down sometimes and follow through on someone's train of thought before we jump all over them.

Antaresequity, it's so good to have you on board! Some of the regular posters to the Terri threads are right on the front lines for Terri's fight, and they can sometimes let their emotions get the best of them. We have had many trolls here in the past, especially when there's a new round of info making the airwaves. That's often when we see them (the trolls) rear their ugly heads.

It has been a tough battle, but I know I'm in for the long haul, and I know others are as well. May God hear our heaven-sent pleadings to return Terri to the arms of her loving family!

I have not ventured into these threads because of my own unwilingness and fear...

When I was 19 I was diagnosed with cancer [I am now 43]...conventional wisdom at the time was that I was a dead man walking...I told them [the medical establishment] to go to hell in a handbasket and I would not capitulate to conventional wisdom...

Its a touchy subject for me...death...and to be completly honest I have stayed away from this because of past memories...

I live in a bit of denial.
