But the worst that lies ahead is conflict within our own borders. There are no guarantees, either. Rome lasted as a republic for what - 600 years? Yet some still spoke of the 'Roman Empire' as late as as 800 AD. It existed as a fiction. Rome fell when Romans stopped being Romans, when they lost the sense of the ideas, traditions and culture that held their civilization together. As will America.

In a word NO! The great problem is the lack of belief in the fact that Western Civilization is something worth keeping.It is a form of dry rot.
