Here is a perfect passage that illustrates how the word week is used to mean seven years.
Gen 29:27
26 And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
27 Fulfil her week(H7620), and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week:(H7620) and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
The Hebrews are very oriented to using the word "weeks" or "sevens" to describe blocks of time.
1. Week of days or 7 days. (seventh day is the Sabbath)

3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
2. Week of weeks or 49 days. (Feast of Weeks because they count seven sabbaths or Pentecost is celebrated the day after a week of weeks from the Feast of Passover).

16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
3. Week of months or 7 months. (Tishri is the seventh month or a week of months which is the celebration of the Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah)
Lev 23:23-24
23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
4. Week of years or 7 years. (The seventh year is a Sabbath year for the land)
Lev 25:5-6
5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee,
