My guess is that he has prayed about it, and his conscience is his guide here.

Let's just end the WOT, and put ALL of our national
security time and money into having investigations.
Maybe a commission on why the terrorists hate us so much,
and how we can peacefully respond when they murder
3000 of our countrymen in cold blood.

Maybe our Special Ambassador for Apologies, Bill Clintoon, should go...
To: Dane
Aye. Early reports ON THIS THREAD do not indicate an apology.

Why do the hyper conservatives always fall for the leftist media headlines?? Shame on them
Have no idea. Like I have said before on FR, I am not a military expert on FR and don't play one on FR. I am not a psychological expert and don't play one on FR.
All I can do is make my comments about the IMO, knee-jerk, comments from some(not you), when these threads pop up like weeds on FR.
You know and have seen the comments many times(Bush is a coward, yada, yada, yada) and those comments come from a thread that is based on a headline, with no actual quotes or transcript, simply amazing, IMO.

I have absolute confidence that whatever he chooses to say will be appropriate.
His faith in God and moral clarity have led him to fight this war, and his faith and God and moral clarity are leading him now.
We are a nation that stands above the rest of the world because we have not abandoned (although xlinton TRIED to get us to and we were frightfully close) an understanding of right and wrong.
It is right to acknowledge that the abuses photographed were wrong. It doesn't matter (as some here would suggest) how bad the bad guys are. We're still on the side of right, and their behavior shouldn't dictate ours.

I'm sure once Bush apologizes, the Arab nations will all of a sudden stop hating us. Yeah right. This apology is pointless and shows weakness.
To: mikegi
>Actually,
if phrased right this could be a
good thing Yes. If he phrased it
as "Sorry to nuke Mecca,
but you nuts forced us!"
this could be okay.
Just about any other
phrasing will seem bad.

Well, the headline in the Gazette Telegraph in Colo. Springs this morning is "25 Captives Died Under U.S Watch" and that's what I'm afraid the Bush administration is anticipating will be the grand finale to all of this sickening crap. It won't matter that some of them may have died from old age or STD's. And that's the real reason Bush is crawling out there to say "we're sorry" to the
%#&$^!@!" arab scum. AGH!
The heck with "hazing", humiliating, sexcapades or whatever the hell those dykes and perverts were doing with those arab vermin. If the RATS and their scumbag pals can get mileage off of this, and they will - what now.
I don't know what's going on with all this. Hoaxes, setups? What kind of morons pull this crap and take pictures of it? Oh, I forgot - they're MORONS - that's right.
At this point, America, the military, Bush and Co., are looking worse by the minute. Unbelievable.
And to top if off, last night there were stinking f-ing Kerry ads on my T.V., in MY military town. My Dad would have been cussing a blue streak. Maybe it's a good thing he's not here to see all this.
It's all looking damned bleak right now.

That repetitive behavior is what has made me see that the far right is VERY similar to the left.
Emotion dictates their thoughts, and not the other way around. The overreact to practically everything that goes bump in the night.
Just my observations...........no expertise involved. :o)

Ahhhhhhrrrrggggghhhhhh.
Sorry 'bout blowing my gasket. I'm appalled.
Now, let's see some Iraqi people apologize for mutilating the contractors from Blackhawk.

I just watched the Al Hurrah interview.
It can be IMHO easily summarised into three parts.
1. Prisoner abuse
This doesn't represent America. The truth will be found, and justice be served. That's how a free society works.
2. The reemergence of Baathists in Fallujah.
(Which btw is probably more controversial in some Shia circles than the prisoner abuse)
This man was put in jail because of Saddam. Fears of baathists unfounded. Iraw will be free.
3. Israel/Palestine
I support a Palestinian state. This is a historial opportunity for the Palestinian people.

I'd love to be the one who serves justice on these disgraceful Americans that did this. I would literally beat each one of them to a pulp, then have them rot in jail.

Maybe we shouldn't be killing them either. Maybe we can start using tasers or something in combat to avoid injuries to them. Maybe we could pass out helmets to them so that their heads don't get hurt.
