I'm STILL laughing!

Yeah...and according to David Brock of Media Matters, one of their objectives is to "spur progressive activism based on standards and accountability in media." In other words, they are going to do the very thing they accuse Republicans of doing. Newsflash: The media has been "spurring progressive activism" in their reporting for decades. What they ignorantly fail to realize is that the reason people are seeking alternative sources for information (be it conservative) is because people are getting sick of their activism disguised as news.

Just like the excuses they made after the 2002 elections, Liberals are under the misguided impression that they aren't getting their message out. What they stubbornly refuse to acknowledge is that their messages have been getting unprecendented coverage...and that many in America are telling them, they don't like what they hear.

It is the sign of supreme arrogance for these people to believe that it is the messengers...and not the message, that is at fault for their failures. Especially when you realize that these people already control the majority of those institutions that have overwhelming influence on public opinion...be it, the media, entertainment, academia, unions, etc. All of this is being done because Foxnews and talk-radio have threatened their monopoly on information and opinion. Sad...and now, like good little liberals, they are going to play the perpetual victim.

You're right. This is a classic "more money than brains" operation.

The New York Times announced the formation of a two million dollar think tank to research and prove the influence of the right on the media.
