I hereby pledge, and ask all true Freepers to concur and so pledge, that the use of the politically correct new-age de rigeur term of "Muslim" (pronounced "moose-limb") describing the malevolent "Children of Ishmael" be forever banned. Henceforth, all followers of Mohammed (the traditional spelling of the appellation of the Great Heretic for a thousand years) shall be referred to as "Moslem" (pronounced "mahz-lum"), a venerable and highly descriptive term with an aural component that is missing from all newer references to the Great Child Rapist, Jew Murderer, and Christian Killer.

The Italian "Mamaluk" (pronounced "mama-lewk") is a qualified alternative, as well as "Mohammedan" (pronounced "moe-hahm-mid-den").

Whatever... just no more "Muslim".

I pledge as well.
Mohammedan works for me. Also serves to take the sting away
from the PC crowd. If you're against Muslims, you're automatically a racist, fascist, Nazi and blah blah blah.
But if you hate Mohammedans, none of the great unwashed knows what the hell you are talking about.

Moslem is the term I learned as a child many years ago and what I have always used.
