A statue in a Spanish cathedral showing St James slicing the heads off Moorish invaders is to be removed to avoid causing offence to Muslims.
Cathedral authorities in the pilgrim city of Santiago de Compostela, on Spain's north west coast, plan to move the statue to the museum.
Among the reasons for the move is to avoid upsetting the "sensitivities of other ethnic groups".

I absolutely agree.
I'd totally hate to offend the sensibilities of violent misogynists, homicide bombers and hate-spewing mullahs.

Spain may be lost, but prayers to Santiago Matamoros are in order as well as St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and the protomartyr of Spain St. Vincent of Saragossa..
But even if Spain is completely lost, Portugal will never lose the faith.
Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Though I have NO love for Muslims, I must point out that the Moors were NOT the invaders of Spain. It was quite the other way around.

"The Moors invaded Spain in 711."
OK, so the Moors WERE the invaders of Spain. You said above that it was the other way around.

Can anybody really lay the blame on the Spaniards? Rome has set numerous examples to lead the way: Assisi I, Assisi II, the Fatima abomination, the Lutheran accord, ...
Fatima - Peddling a false religion in Our Lady's Shrine
Assisi - Giving acknowledgement to false religions by asking them to their false gods for "world peace".

by asking them to their false gods for "world peace".by asking them to pray to their false gods for "world peace".

Unbelievable... what are all the people named "Matamoros" (kills Moors) going to do? I guess they'll have to be moved to museums also.
To: TexConfederate1861
Though I have NO love for Muslims, I must point out that the Moors were NOT the invaders of Spain. It was quite the other way around. I don't understand. What is "the other way around" from the Moors invading Spain? Spain invading Moor-land (North Africa presumably) but then both sides agreeing to shift the fight back to Spain? It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Note I'm not denying that the actual history of "Andalusia"/"Reconquista" is quite a bit more complicated than "the Moors invaded Spain and then the Spanish drove them back out". (For one thing I'm not sure there was quite such a thing as "Spanish" at the time.)
So I suspect you could be on to something - maybe you're trying to say that "the Moors" were provoked? what? But I just don't know what you're trying to say, it's not all that clear. I'll let you clarify. thanks,
