Weird. I'm guessing that if Steve Forbes ever captured the GOP nomination, this would be the central theme of the press coverage of his campaign.

It really shouldn't reflect poorly on Kerry, since he's a self-made man.

Sure. All self made men spend their youth yachting with John F. Kennedy, go to boarding school in Europe, prep schhool in Boston and have the connections and sponsors to buy a successful political career.

Actually, I've read that Steve Forbes and his family are not related to Kerry's Forbes.
