[history]
May 3, 2004 -- WHAT are the Congressional hearings to discover the truth about the United Nations' oil-for-food scandal? According to some of the committee's Democratic representatives, the hearings are a "misguided effort to discredit the United Nations."
In other words - according to House Reps. Tom Lantos, Howard Berman and Gary Ackerman - it apparently doesn't matter what happened to the $2 billion worth of bribe money paid to 270 diplomats and politicians, or the $10 billion allegedly stolen by Saddam Hussein.

And once again, Americans will see right through the subterfuge. I wish this was true. Unfortunately, too many Americans will continue to vote into office these candidates who represent this cancerous fraudulent excuse for an American political party.

Fine.
Let us concentrate on sinking Kerry's barge of sewage, ( preferably off the coast of Cannes ) and soon after the celebration of GWB's second term in office is over we can send several salvos of torpedoes into the pirate frigate United Nations, sending her to the bottom of the sea.

Anyone care to guess who's on my short list of American pols who either knew, covered up, and/or made blood money off this scam? If the US doesn't give a darn about the UN's involvement, it should care about what its own pols were up to.

The only question remains is who did recieve the bribes in the US...American companies purchased roughly 50% of the irak oil, from the oil and food programme...

All I can think of when I see that Dell computer ad, where the geeks are going through basic training so they can "stand up" to computer salesmen, is... Dems. It's perfect!

Lantos statements to the gal from WSJ were just appalling. I could barely believe my ears.
Of course, you can understand why the dems are trying to defend the UN .. because Kerry wants the UN to take over in Iraq.
The dems just want their power back, and they don't care how badly they have to prostitute themselves to the Clintons in order to get it.

Go back to at least 1964 when LBJ and the democrats ran the most vile and despicable campaign of lies and distortion that I can recall. Johnson would have won in a walk in any case, but they went out of their way to try and destroy Goldwater. One result was the creation of a generation of young republican conservatives who will neither forgive nor forget, and who came up with their own version of a take-no-prisoners approach to election campaigns. But for downright viciousness, willingness to lie, cheat, and steal, and sheer hatred of their opponents the democratic party still leads the way.
