I'd like to come across a video of Arnie's address. I'm glad he chose Israel for his first international excursion. Prayers for the peace of Jerusalem.

Schwarzenegger is a political master of the right thing, at the right time.
And, he has no fear.

This is an amazing speech by Ahnold and a great morale-boosting visit by him. He's put himself squarely on the side of Israel, which means he could become a walking target for Islamic jihadists. He should watch his back from now on.

You know, I'm against his positions on abortion and gays. But hell, the way things are going we're going to have pretty much lost the gay battle by 2012 or 2016 (the years, I suppose, where Arnie would be most likely to make a White House bid following a Constitutional Amendment).
President Arnold Schwarzenegger? Well, it's a strange world.
The film Demolition Man is all coming to pass! Watch out!

"[H]e ended his speech with the Hebrew saying, "Am Yisrael hai" the nation of Israel lives gave the crowd a thumbs-up sign, and added his signature movie line, "I'll be back."
Dude rocks, of that there can be no doubt!

He is constitutionally barred from running for President.

Hey, I saw True Lies. I know what he can do to them.

I hope they never get the cockamamie idea to amend the constitution to allow foreign born people to become president. BIG MISTAKE.

This is a great thing for Arnold to do, and I applaud it.
On another note, however, it causes me to make a prediction.
Though one could be forgiven for not seeing militant Islam's global retreat at the hands of the U.S. and Israel (and our allies such as the UK, Poland, Australia...and even by our "friends" like the Russians in Chechnya, Musharaff in Pakistan, China in Xinjiang, etc.), it is no doubt true that militant Islam is curently in full scale retreat.
But during this retreat, militant Islam is going to look at their enemies (e.g. Arnold) and see a single thing that they wish to emulate:
Which brings up my prediction...
The next great leader of militant Islam will first be a movie star in the Islamic world.

Why? Require twenty-five years of US Citizenship (or something like that). That sounds like enough for most people.
I mean (as much as I don't like her) it seems rather silly to me that someone like Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm should be barred from running for President simply because she lived in Canada until she was three or four years old.
Of course, I'm biased because I'm a (relatively) young Canadian national who would like to run for President in, oh, 2040 or so.

Rather than speculate about what may or may not take place down the road with regard to the possibility of Schwarzenegger becoming President, I'll just say that I respect his participation in this event. It would have been pretty easy for him to rationalize that this would be a high priority target for terrorists. Instead, or in spite of that perception, he attended anyway. I doubt this will put to rest those who think he an anti-semite, but it sure pleases me to see him cast those accusations in their proper light.
I disagree with Schwarzenegger on some issues. I have greatly appreciated his views on a number of others.
Way to go Arnold.
