"Well, we could go back to my place, but it really is just a little hole in the ground..."I'm deeply touched by your underground witticism's and would pressure you to echo your sentiments subliminally!
Come down for a visit anytime! :-)

Shame we can't all chip in and buy this place as the home of Free Republic. Mr Robinson would have to move but at least we know the Servers would survive nuclear war.

I knew you'd appreciate my troglodytic humor...most other folks don't want to sink to our level.
I'd be glad to drop into your silo some time if you promise you wouldn't mine.

Hidden away in the bowels of deprivity, I wouldn't lower myself to any sunstandard cavorting such as you suggest.
But beneath the hollow crust of circumstance lay an unearthed plethora of seismatic accomplishment.

I saw that show about the people who built a home in one of those silos. Very nice - but I would be creeped out by the thought of that eerie multistory pit - every noise would bring to mind every 50's sci fi monster movie I'd ever seen!

Check out this Titan silo in Texas. Some entreprenuers decided that the Groundwater seepage could be turned to their advantage. This may be the most unusual scuba diving site that I've ever seen:

There's a whole industry devoted to renovating and re-selling these kinds of facilities. Perhaps one of the most famous is:
20th Century Castles I only know, because now and then I catch Mr. Peel looking at their web site!

Why can't we utilize this in our defense of the west coast from North Korea ..??

If you bought it, how much would the (bleep)ing government gouge out of you each year for taxes?
To: SLB
Possibilities include:
- World's largest mushroom farm.
- World's largest libertarian commune (psychedlic mushrooms)
- Film site: Panic Room 2
- Storage site for personal gun collection or as leftists call it "Your arsenal".
- Tornado basement.
- World's largest underground Dungeon and Dragon's playground.
- Go-cart track with underground tunnels
- Shopping Mall
- Convention Center
- Witness protection community

Sounde like the perfect digs for a groups of survivalists to invest in. All that underground space could house a bunch of people I bet.

If you bought any of these, how much you wanna bet there is a clause that the feds could force you to give it up should we return to a time when the threat grows again.
I personally feel we are in as much danger from nukes now as then, maybe more.
