I wonder how many of the families were contacted by Koppel's staff? If they were truly attempting to honor their memories would they not have been in contact with the families? My guess is ZERO.

Here is what I think. When Wallace appeared on Fox and Friends on Friday, he had no guests booked for Sunday yet. He hyped his show with this until they had guests booked. Now, he's got no story and has even strung out his "response" to Koppel until next week. I think this is dispicable.

Wilson admits he really doesn't know who leaked his wife's name. He's just tossing out names of those he suspects Wasn't it reported that Wilson named the person in his book?

Kristol is right. Koppel was making a political statement by leaving Afghanistan out of the program. GWB views Iraq as part of the WOT. Koppel, the Dems, and the rest of the leftist media don't.

Fox will have a week of publicity for this for a larger audience. That is good!

Kristol was quite angry I thought when he mentioned the stunt by Koppel.

Pat Tillman may be off topic BUT that young man did more for his country in 3 years than Biden, Kennedy and Kerry in their full politcal careers combined (and I'll toss in Kerry's military, ahem, "career").

I think that is an excellent idea. I will send an e-mail this week.

Why in the world is MTP giving that guy the time of day? Is Tim just trying to compete with CBS in the Hate-Bush-Book-Of-The-Month club?

"over 50 diplomats in England who opposed the war didn't disclose that they take $$ from Arab organizations."
Woah, that is big. What a bunch of duplicitous schmucks.

Wallace announces that next week Fox is going to present a program on what we have ACCOMPLISHED in Iraq. That must have been his BIG surprise. I'd liked to have seen such a program TODAY to counteract the negatives being spewed. Color me impatient. It's May sweeps.

He did hype the show and I'm disappointed, but I do think his motives are more pure than we are giving him credit for.
Also, having another week to do the job, I will be expecting a truly spectacular show. Personally, I think that Chris Wallace has even called Koppel's show a stunt and intends to rebut his show in any way is a major coup for us.
Who else in Old Media would even think of doing this? Also, I thought Wallace was very kind to Meyers this morning and made it a point to shake his hand in a meaningful way.

It is good that they chose to clear this up today. One realizes the situation is fluid, they have been slow to set the public straight. They really should bring Ari back as press secretary. He had a sensitivity for this sort of thing.

Definitely! I'm glad his memorial service will be televised and expect some inspiring memorials of him.

Kristol was quite angry I thought when he mentioned the stunt by Koppel. I am too .. what Koppel was doing is picking up where Walter left off
IF Koppel truly wanted to honor these brave soldiers .. he would not have done it the way he did

I think you are probably correct, I am sorry to say.
However, if they go ahead and produce a good show perhaps some good may come of it.
I don't like to be manipulated, however.

Brit willing to give 9/11 commissioner Hamilton leeway for leaving WH early, but Brit blasts Kerrey's departure to lobby for money. Says Kerrey has been so loud and full of statements during the hearings that his departure for this reason is simply over the top.
