Really dumb. He removed the magazine, but there was already a bullet in the chamber. Then he passed the gun around to students to inspect. DEA - wow.

That's dangerous, not funny.

I sure wish they would release the guys name.

I went to high school with a guy who served 20 years in the Army, then joined the DEA in FLA, and I think it may be the same guy, for he was an idiot.

I'm sure his 'co-workers' won't give him a hard time. They'll probably be understanding, and considerate of his feelings in this difficult time.

However, we all know his wife will be laughing herself to sleep for a while.

Hey, what did you expect from the DEA? Like we're really winning the war on drugs. Remember Waco? Didn't the DEA play a large part in that?

Hopefully, W has put the right people in place to weed out the undesirables.

Well, it may scare the kids enough to not play with guns, but it would be unfortunate if it turned them totaly against guns and prevented them (when they are old enough) from eventually getting proper instructions and learning self-defense.

To the best of my knowledge, DEA played no role whatsoever in the events at Waco. BATF was the agency responsible for the initial raid, and the FBI's HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) took over after the BATF team was shot up by the Branch Davidians.

"Almost certainly violated Rules 1, 2, and 3.

Never forget the 1st fact about guns: "A safety is a mechanical device that CAN and WILL FAIL."

Those who remember this fact have much more respect for guns and are more likely to follow rules 1,2, & 3.

I will say this about DEA guys...at least the 6 I have met in my life...half were absolute dimwits and half were decent law-enforcement. I don't want to paint the whole organization that way...but I wonder. It doesn't take an awful lot to get into DEA.

"DEA played no role whatsoever in the events at Waco."

You're right about the other agencies, but I thought that they used some 'alleged drug' excuse, along with 'illegal weapons' in order to get the original search warrants and used drug laws & DEA rules to justify their position. If so, then DEA would have been at least superficially or indirectly involved.

I haven't looked at those records since GWB took office. Some of the facts are kinda hazy now, but I can't forget what happened there.

(ATF) later cited suspicions that the Branch Davidians were manufacturing illegal methamphetamines.
