You are right when you say we need to elect those who support our views. However, it is the judges who are perverting the state and federal Constitutions and in most cases we don't have a vote on them. Sometimes, but not always.
You say "so what if people protest"? There is strenght in numbers and in unity. If people tried to win issues by themselves they will lose. A show of unity does persuade lawmakers and also gives a sense of not being alone to those gathered together.

Good point. I concur! If by protesting we can inspire more people to vote conservative at the ballot box, protest! As for appointing judges, you are right again. We don't normally have any direct control there, but we do elect the people who appoint and impeach judges. Now let's get them to act!
