Maybe we are so tolerant, we are so bent on diversity, we are so nonjudgmental, we are so wrapped up in our six-packs and ballgames that our brains have drained to our bulbous behinds.Good article. Lots of uninformed and apathetic Americans like to pretend that if they don't know about it, it won't or is not happening.

the titanic struggle between good and evil, between freedom and enslavement, between the individual and the state, between the celebration of life and the worshipping of death. Thats the fight we are in, and it never ends. It just has peaks and valleysInfinite amens.

Good for the writer of that article. Islam, Religion of Death and Suffering. Followers of Islam have killed more Muslims than infidels, a fact everyone wants to ignore. The extremists do not care who they kill in the name of Islam and until the Muslim world realizes that the carnage will continue.

"....the millions gassed and butchered in the Middle East..."?
Millions!
My, my, my. Last time anybody did anything on that scale in the Middle East it was the Mongols taking down Baghdad.
That was also pretty much the end of the Arabs and Kurds as far as control of their own countries were concerned. The Turks followed up with a serious takeover. They then turned to Europe. That war lasted several hundred years and finally ended about 1918 with the conclusion of WWI.
The European powers then subdivided the Arab speaking Middle East among themselves. The Turks, who are not an Arab speaking people, kept Anatolia.
That particular European occupation finally ended at the conclusion of WWII when Harry Truman told the Europeans they had a choice between retaining their Asian colonies or their Middle Eastern colonies. The Europeans chose to keep Asia (which they then pretty much lost, or turned loose because it cost just too much for their now impoverished societies).
Did you catch that part ~ Harry Truman Liberated the Arabs from the Europeans, but at a price ~ the establishment of the State of Israel.
Looking at all of this with a correct historical perspective it's quite clear that it is long overdue for the United States to step back into the Middle East and withdraw some of their independence. At the same time we must not forget that the Europeans gave up the place!

But I would point out that those Americans who are really into nonjudgementalism and diversity would never be caught with a six-pack and/or a baseball game. Soccer, white wine and brie, yes. But beer and baseball? Perish the thought!
