It is kind of interesting --- the chupacabras apparently were first in Puerto Rico --- and the hispanic countries take them for granted practically. It's weird that this mutilation shows up in Canada and is just like what's been reported in Mexico and Latin America and the SW USA. There have been dogs drained of blood near here (the border) --- I think the cases actually happened and the people say it's likely a chupacabra.

But the people observing the animals being taken up in the air do not report seeing chupacabara etc.
And, the people in those cultures and countries are prone to being superstitious in a list of ways. They tend to lump all kinds of things into the chupacabara phenomena.
And, the cases where a chupacabara has clearly been seen and a victim left, the evidence is markedly different in terms of the results on the flesh, blood etc.
