"If the question is, was this intended as an anti-war effort, the answer is a categorical, No. It is neither in support of the war or against the war," he insisted.Sorry, no sale.

How far are you going to go??? Well, our soldiers go to the ends of the Earth, Ted. Anyone who saw Nightline last night knows they ARE the DNC agenda. They didn't include Afghanistan because Kerry claims to support THAT war. So that war has no negative consequences, only the "bad" war. How transparent.

I hope someday to tune in to the reading of a similar
list.....one which includes the names Koppel, Cronkite,
Brown, Couric, Jennings, Rather, Brokaw, Imus, Lauer, et al.
Ted Koppel, Public Enemy #2

And the networks still wonder why they are losing viewers and Fox is gaining.
Haven't watched that left wing commercial for at least 8-10 years.

If they did not include those Killed in Afganistan the only reasonable explaination is underlying opposition to the Iraq War. If they want to take that editorial position they should be up front about it.

Koppel on Hannity Radio Program earlier today picked up the John Kerry line: 'They are questioning my patriotism.'

Koppel says if you show the soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan, how much farther are you going to go?
Memo to Koppel: We all know why you didn't show the faces of American soldiers who have died in Afghanistan. That war has wide support among the voting public.
Old Media is nearly dead. New Media gets the news faster and more reliably, especially if one considers that research can be done to check on news reports.

"...the unbiased newsman appeared on the official Democratic Party radio network Air America and bashed president Bush's Iraq war policies" Whatta big-headed, no-brainer Koppel is...I don't think Ol' Ted would have one clue about how Iraq should be dealt with!! Thank God Koppel's Lefty Buddies don't have control of the Presidency right now...MUD

i thought nightline had been cancelled because nobody watched it. i think ted koppel is actually a wooden puppet. he looks very much like a puppet from the 1950's named "howdy doody." watch koppel closely and you can actually see the strings.

ABC "Nightline" host Ted Koppel said Friday afternoon that he had no plans the show the faces of soldiers killed in Afghanistan as part of his tribute to U.S. GIs killed in the war on terror. That says it all. Shame on you, Koppel.

Will he be doing a recital for Serbia too? Alittle delayed and of course Afghanistan should be done too.

Sinclair Broadcast Group should be commended for their brave stand in refusing to air Koppel's Anti-war Propoganda.
I, for one plan to tell them so in the morning.

Against my best judgement, I watched NightLine tonight. What bothers me most about Koppel's pathetic performance is he spent the final segment of his show defending his own sorry ass, instead of saluting all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. DAMN HIM, DAMN HIM
Why not end the show by honoring these fallen heroes with a tribute to them, instead of a defense of his own sorry ass. DAMN HIM, DAMN HIM

""But you know, if you say the kids in Afghanistan, you know, how much further are you going to go ......?" Yes, indeed, where does it end? before long, Ted would have to read all the names of the people Saddam Hussein killed, and that could literally take until Teddy-boy dies of old age. And he certainly does not want to talk about THEM!

Koppel is anti-Bush every show he does even when he was in Iraq. He hates republican's period. So he is a liar in my opinion.

"But you know, if you say the kids in Afghanistan, you know, how much
further are you going to go, Sean. You know how many guys have died in how
many different countries?"
The real reason?
Ted Koppel secretly fears that if he had to say "Pat Tillman", the audience would
not fail to notice that PAT TILLMAN was a REAL MAN and Ted Koppel is the polar opposite.

How about a listing of the names, along with pictures, of the 800-1000 civilian and military victims of Islamic terrorism in the 30 years prior to 9-11?
Why don't you show the Marines from Beirut, Ted?
How about the victims of the Cole or Khobar Towers?
Did you consider the victims of PanAm 103, Ted?
