This is not a ghost story, but I guess it is kinda paranormal.

When I am thinking about my son, he routinely responds with "Yes?" or "Did you call me?" as if I had just called his name. I have thought about him at work and rec'd phone calls, "Did you just call here? Did I miss a message?" I notice that this seems to happen when I have strong thoughts about him, like stumbling over his shoes in the living room. : )

This used to happen when my husband was alive as well, He would come where I was and ask what I wanted.

I think it odd that they would stop what they're doing and come into other rooms. Obviously they must be hearing something very clearly to think that I've called them. Any other mothers/wives have this kind of connection?

I am pretty good at telling who's on the phone, whether it's a friend, family, the doctor's office, whatever. (I don't have caller ID)

And, often I will have strong, unbidden, thoughts of someone completely off the wall - old bosses, classmates, etc. people I haven't seen in years and who aren't part of my life, and that person will either appear in person, or I'll see something in the media or the Internet about them. Something just pops up; I'm not searching for them.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use these gifts to play the lottery or increase my GPA.

With everything that I have read, you would be more suspectible to ghostly sightings. My mom and I share a certain amount of what you describe here, as well all of our family to one degree or another.

Which reminds me, did you ever see the post here on FR about the computer 'eggs' a university here in the States (MIT?) had placed around the world and linked back to a central server on campus? If I remember correctly, there were basically shielded headless computers generating random numbers. The central server then tried to find synchronous patterns among the random numbers generated from these geogrpahically separated eggs. Anyway, they showed a strong peak of 'collusion' on 9-11. And the eggs located on the east coast showed the strongest. What really got me is that they started to 'sync' app. an hour before the first plane hit.

Anyway, I have no trouble believing in 'shared consciousness' or even a 'soul tree' which enables thoughts to transcend one individual to another family member. Too much we simply do not understand at present.
