Finland abruptly fell off the map of the European Union included in a half-page advertisement produced by the German government and the EU Parliament and published in German newspapers last week. The German government spokesperson noted that a good deal of Northern Sweden had also gone missing. The Atlantic islands owned by Spain and Portugal are also absent from the map.

Perhaps this is a good Omen for Finland. She is a beautiful country and I would hate to see her fall even further into the abyss known as the EU.

Interesting that about eight former Eastern block countries are joining next month. I guess fifteen years of sovereignty was enough for them.

Well, I think this should make Okies feel better.
I never saw it, but suppossedly some map-making company let Oklahoma off it's map
(maybe just showing Oklahoma as part of Texas?).
Well, one advantage of not being on the map...maybe it lowers the odds of being invaded.
Or being taxed by The United Nations.

The Finns sit among their remote lakes and forests and speak a language no one else can learn. That's their good fortune. When the rest of Europe becomes Eurabia, the Finns will remain Finns.

and speak a language no one else can learn That's very cool. How many Finns use the native language?

I think its funny that if you look closely at a Euro coin, on the back there's a map of the EU and right in the center, you'll see a little hole in the map: Switzerland.

I agree.
I was there last August, and it is a wonderful land.
The sisu
might help them
with EU!

Perhaps this is a good Omen for Finland. Either that, or the EU astronomers have figured out where the next Tunguska-class asteroid is going to impact, and decided to save themselves the trouble or printing up new maps afterward.
