I have suspected something like this to be the case. It is still possible that this is all true, but even if this has been a scam, people should keep in mind that their prayers are not wasted, as God, in His infinite Goodness, will apply them to others in need.

Thank you, that was my thought, too. I have no problem with prayer requests--if someone is requesting them through a lie, obviously, they need prayers anyway (if only for their future honesty). Sounds like this one could use psychiatric help, among other things.
