Has it occurred to you that these people have been under oppression for years and are still scared to death.
Many of them will never feel free until Saddam is actually dead. They still fear his henchmen that are still left.
They have no recent history of freedom and have no idea how to handle it.
I have absolutely no doubt that we belong there and by doing so we are keeping the battle off our own shores.

What I find very interesting is that this administration's approach in Iraq is remarkably similar to the Democratic approach in most of this country's urban rat-holes, in which the inhabitants of the region in question are treated like stunted, infantile people who cannot (and will never) fend for themselves.
What's ironic here is that we now have a Cabrini-Green Housing Project on our hands -- with 25-30 million residents living in it.

June 30 is when the provisional government is established, then comes their dealing with Saddam. All during the summer when the Dem. and Rep. conventions are going on.
