Might suggest they weren't getting anything useful (i.e., material to slime Bush with), so they took a walk.

More from Drudge...
The Oval Office session began at 9:30 a.m. and ended at 12:40 p.m., and two Democrat commission members -- Lee Hamilton, the vice chairman, and Bob Kerrey -- walked out! In a written statement, Kerrey said he left early to attend 'a previously scheduled meeting with Senator Pete Domenici on Capitol Hill'... Hamilton left Bush/Cheney to meet with the Canadian Prime Minister...

Why is Drudge trying to make this into more than it is???
They had prior commitments, period.

a previously scheduled meeting
So was this meeting with the President!

They didn't have the 911 professional families there to cheer them on, so what's the point?

LOL......I've been trying to put a name to that haircut. The best I could come up with was the guy who played My Favorite Martian!

You know, good manners are gone. I would think a meeting with the President over matters of vital national security, a meeting about 911 would trump anything short of your wife, mother or child dying. I would think a meeting with the President would trump anything. I remember when hubby was in the army, I was advanced pregnant and wanted to miss a "tea" with the general's wife and was told in no uncertain terms that one did not turn down the general's wife. Surely the President is at least that important.

I don't think any prior commitment would trump this,,it is their commission, it is vitally important and the President was there.

I agree. It's not like they didn't know the President and Vice President would show up today. This has been planned for a long time. In my opinion, they left solely because there was no political gain here.

Even more disgusting Kerrey made fun of the President and Veep and their testimony on the Daily Show (See Taranto WSJournal Opinion Online)
To: MizSterious
Can there still be any doubt in ANYONE's mind that this is a political witch-hunt, nothing more?
