I was just casting my mind back to the '40s and '50s when people were still relying more on a faith in God and their own will power to survive. My mother lost two of her younger sisters to influenza in the early teens so don't tell me about medical advancements. Some of it's good, but there is a lot of pseudo science being passed off as gospel by the media, the AMA and the pharmaceutical companies. Too much introspection and too much whining today. All this touchy-feely stuff is infectious. I call it, "The feminization (or Oprahization) of America".

well dear, half of us are women in this country. Can't we feminize it abit if that means telling Rush he was an insensitive clod, after all we tell our hubbies that daily. I hate touchy feeling stuff too but that doesn't mean I lose sympathy for kids with problems or make fun of the ill.
