One of my thoughts on Hillary! running in 2004 is whether she really wants to inherit the war in Iraq and the War On Terror. If she really wants to build up socialism, is the way to do it in a 50/50 country to declare defeat by insurgents in Iraq, bring home the world's most feared military, and divert the military funding (again) to social programs?

Or, would she rather wait until 2008 and hope that either: 1) the war goes well and the people weary of Bush and Republicans, or 2) the war goes poorly and the people weary of Bush and Republican?

If she does run in 2004 and wins, then she will have to do something about Iraq and Afghanistan. If she waits, then it's Bush's problem to deal with.

No,Hillary does NOT want to inherit Iraq,nor the WoT! That's exactly WHY she will NOT run,in any capacity,in '04! Her entire gambit is to inflict Socialism/social engineering on America,which she can NOT do,with an overt war raging and terrorism so out in the open.She doesn't need or want another pull-out,making the USA look weak,a la Nam.

She may be evil,she may be an enabler,she may be a Marxist,but unlike so many on FR,she isn't a political naif! And,lest anyone forget,this is a woman who won't touch anything,unless she is guaranteed to win/profit.There is NO guarantee in '04.

Good point, PJT. What do you make of her international travels? Didn't she recently make some very negative statements about the US to Al-Jazerra (sic)? Why does the junior senator from NY seem to travel so much internationally? Who does she meet and what do they discuss that has anything to do with her duties as the junior senator from NY? I know senators like their junkets but Hill does more than run up room service on her trips, of that I'm sure.
