With a smashing down of my own steel shanked waffle soled footwear, I heartily refute your assertion good doctor! What the h$#@ are you talking about? Hu Jintao is in charge. Every "capitalist" (more more acurately, every local potentiate wearing a capitalist suit for Western consumption), every village headman, every "corporation" (or whatever label you want to use) headquartered in the PRC, and every foreigner and foreign entity doing business in the PRC, must kowtow, in one way or another, to Hu Jintao. If anything, the "capitalists" in the PRC, be they of PRC or other origin, unwittingly or, covertly, do the bidding of the CCP. It is you who needs to wake up. Have you ever studied history? Are you familiar with something which was called the NEP?

Hu is just speaking the party B.S.

He knows this ideology is long gone among the masses. I don't see any crackdowns on "spiritual pollution" coming anytime soon...

Hell, the first thing Deng Xiaoping did as he was ushered in to take the helm was to dismiss Mao Zedong thought.

These communists are just grasping for straws.

Let's see...have I studied history?

Actually yes, I am a current scholar of Chinese history and as I write this reply I am currently working on an essay for my final exam that explores the Chinese "identity".

I have studied Chinese history from Qin Shi huangdi to the present.

In the future please refrain from using acronyms. NEP?

China is a Fascist country. A Totalitarian Party that controls the politics with a strong Corporatist class for economic control, fed by US corporations and American consumers.

Pragmatic Communism. Viral Maoism. Capitalistic Control.

But like with the Kuomintang, will rural discord and industrial unrest, generate an internal upheavel.
