Without doubt. Look, reality check, here...while I've known Sailors who were comitted Christians and scrupulously moral in all they did (all two of them), if any of the good folk hereactually were a "fly on the wall" in a barracks or a ready-room, they'd faint dead away at hearing what the handome, clean-cut lads talk about amongst themselves. Oh, and we have quite a few
females around now, too, and they keep right up with the guys in the raunch department. Toughness is part of the job description.
Soldiers and Sailors cuss, drink, smoke, gamble, tell FILTHY jokes, and when on liberty chase members of the opposite sex like a Democrat chases dollars.
They can be perfect gentlemen and ladies in polite company, but it must be remembered that they are of a hard cast, with rough edges which, whilst perhaps jarring to some, provide them with an advantage in coping with adversity.
After a few months on deployment, just imagine what they're like.
