So let me get this straight. These women are all about giving our male troops a mercy jump before they ship out. Is THAT what we've come to?

FWIW, the link's legit. So is www.takeoneforthecountry.net and www.takeoneforthecountry.org - I'm still not convinced.
A) This article appears nowhere else online.
B) Googling for "Annette Spargas" or "John Truman" turns up absolutely nothing related.
C) There's an "interview" on the website, purportedly with "Jeff and Jim" of KDRZ radio, but the FCC has no record of any station - AM, FM, or TV - with that callsign.
D) KDRZ is supposedly part of "Green Clover Media" - googling for "Green Clover Media" returns nothing.
E) "John Truman" supposedly has a newsletter entitled" The Resurgent Man" - googling for "The Resurgent Man" turns up...nothing. Naturally.
And so forth. So far I haven't been able to verify a single word of this yet, and that makes me just a touch suspicious that someone's having us on ;)

Ann-Margaret performed pantiless in short skirts on elevated outdoor stages for the troops in VN. I suspect she 'gave her all' to the cause, too. LOCKHART -- All right ...Ann-Margret and entourage are due here next week. I want someone to be there on the airfield and stick with her for a couple of days. Uh, Rafterman, you take it.
RAFTERMAN -- Aye-aye, sir.
LOCKHART -- Get me some good low-angle stuff. Don't make it too obvious, but I want to see fur and early morning dew.
RAFTERMAN -- Yes, sir.

And they would have been just as busy (but better paid).

They would have been but those calling them whores were usally the ones turning around and *ahem* partaking of their services. I was watching a documentary about Shangri-La 'RandR' camps sponsored by the US government. Tsk tsk. Whoring for soldiers isn't new *LOL* Doesn't make it right but it's not as if this started yesterday.

Gotta be a parody. The "interview" quotes don't ring true. Good effort, however. I'd give it an A-. Busses bound for Jacksonville from CA was a bit over the top and the last tip-off that this is not legit.
Anything on snopes about this?

Anything on snopes about this? Nope. Just checked. But I bet within 24 hours they'll have something. FARK, boing-boing, slashdot, everyone is talking about it.

You sound like a fairy. Hmm. So far you have called people whores and fairies in just this thread. Is being rude the only way you can get a hard on? Or do you have some other reason to be obsessed with peoples's sexual behavior?

Marlene Dietrich was quite a woman. I believe she came from Austria. She despised Hitler and the Nazis. Dietrich was also very intellegent. She made considerable contributions to military technology to include the concept for the first radio encryption devices. She was a real babe, too.

If you ain't a fairy, then I apologize, but you just sounded like a homo to me. And the young gals in the article are by definition behaving like whores. Next question?

She made considerable contributions to military technology to include the concept for the first radio encryption devices. You're thinking of Heddy (not Headly) Lamar. Her encryption concept had something to do with music (piano keys?). She did have some help with developing the idea, but she really was brainy and came with a nice set of shoulders to rest that head on. Her concept is still used in cellular telephony.
Not that there was anything wrong with Marlene!
