On the radio this morning I heard a marine get asked if this was the main assault on Fallujha. He said, "Right now we are just playing patty cake with the insurgents. You will know it when we are making our full assault."

All I could say was "HUA!"

If we would just go ahead and flatten the shit out of the town..we wouldn't have to worry about public opinion.

Their ass would be too scared to criticize.

Possibly the dumbest operational name in all of military history.

I'd say that we should have a ready supply of "Operation" names.

Call this one OPERATION DRESDEN (as mentioned by another FReeper).
Call the next one OPERATION HIROSHIMA.
Call the next one OPERATION NAGASAKI.
Call the next one OPERATION TOKYO.

I'm sure that, by that time, the next one can be called OPERATION FALLUJAH.

I like "operation measured patience."

"Patience is a virtue. Pressure comes in many forms."

Right now there is a lot of pressure being meted out due to the patience factor kicking in.

I like that, but we would have to spend a lot of time explaining to dimocrats what "eviscerate" means.
