Frenchman Michael Soussan, a former program coordinator for the $100 billion fund, is expected to be the star witness of a House International Relations Committee hearing looking into Saddam's gigantic $10.1 billion rip-off.

The article says he now lives in New York. A Frenchman, squealing on the U.N., living in New York. Can it get any more bizarre?

Just started on Live Webcast. Hyde announced that Cong. Rohrbacker, (R-CA) would not be present. His wife gave birth to triplets last night.

Egad, he's sitting there saying the "UN has been correctly credited with saving Iraqi lives" and "alleged organized theft"!

Did you see the suggestion on Best of the Web, that Bush appoint Rudy Guliani as the delegate to the UN? They said that Rudy would make quick work of this oil for food scandal and that his over zealous prosecution style would be an asset.

'Bout time he stopped the "we might have been guilty but it's the US State Department's fault"...not that I have a high opinion of State.

"UN oil for food-- two degrees from Gorelick?"

Anyone with a family name as horribly repulsive as Gore-lick should be banished to Siberia for not changing it! Think of all the connotations! Uuuuuggly!

"No US taxpayer money was used. None" (I find that hard to believe; US taxpayer dollars pay UN dues) ...go to NPR website, they'll tell you the truth...tweny seconds over, implying Halliburton is more guilty than those complicit in the blood money for oil scam.

Hyde did a good job in responding to this nonsense by pointing out that US funds were needed to make up for stolen Iraqi oil revenues

"The Kurds were the targets of discrimination by UN oil for food representatives" "The people of Iraq did not receive anything near what was their right"...examples: new hospital, funds allocated in 1998, "hospital has yet to be built"...couldn't understand that part...but something about a hospital receiving not enough money, causeing deaths
