A new poll shows Americans' view of the United Nations in the last year has taken a significant nosedive.
Just 38 percent of likely voters have a favorable opinion of the U.N., while 44 percent have an unfavorable view, according to a poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports.
Feelings about the U.N. are considerably more negative from a year ago. Leading up to the Iraq war, 48 percent of Americans had a favorable opinion of the body, with just 31 percent holding an unfavorable view.
Those describing themselves as liberal voters had the highest opinion of the U.N., with 60 percent giving the agency thumbs-up. Just 20 percent of conservatives had a positive view, while nearly two-thirds, 62 percent, frowned on the global body.
Two-thirds of those who say they'll vote for President Bush in November have a negative impression of the U.N., whereas 59 percent of Kerry supporters view it positively.
The telephone survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted by Rasmussen Reports April 25-26. The margin of sampling error for the full sample is plus-or-minus 3 percentage points, with a 95 percent level of confidence.

That is precisely because the Ultimate Nonsence keeps siding with enemies and socialism over from what is right and what is wrong, or in the proverbial case, they keep siding with evil most of the time as opposed to what is really good.

President Bush went to the UN twice in an effort to make the UN relevant in the war on terror, and sent Colin Powell to layout the case for Iraq in both open and closed sessions. Nothing worked. It's an irrelevant body when it comes to the international war on terror.
John Kerry has made the UN a cornerstone of his "foreign policy" which will be shown as equally irrelevant when the oil-for-food report comes out this summer.

Let the bribes commence. Commence? Hell from what I am reading they have been going on for years. The UN makes the Mafia look like chumps.

I nominate Beijing. Let the ChiComs put up with all the spies and NGOs that go with the UN HQ.
Of course, the ultimate choice would be for the US and Japan to no longer fund the UN, allowing it to wither and die a painful death.

I would submit the Greek Cypriots with their 75% voter rejection of the "Annan Plan" for appeasement on April 24 constitutes an even larger rejection of the UN.
The media is ignoring this recent UN catastrophy because it makes the UN look truely impotent. (it was supposed to be an in-your-face to the USA over Iraq.)

I nominate Paris.
It seems to be a perfect fit to me.

"I nominate KABUL"Why inflict the poor Afghanis with the UN?
How about TEHRAN?
Or better yet, BRUSSELS ...

Those describing themselves as liberal voters had the highest opinion of the U.N., with 60 percent giving the agency thumbs-up. Now that the truth of the UN corruption is beginning to be exposed even some liberals are taking notice. I am so glad that Kerry and the Dems have tied themselves to this sinking ship in regards to the war in Iraq. The UN was doing their best to keep Saddam in power so that the Oil for Food money kept comming in.
