TAMPA, Fla. — The parents of a severely brain-damaged woman at the center of a right-to-die case say her husband has barred them from visiting her. They are asking a judge to intervene.

The lawsuit is the latest salvo in the long legal battle between Bob and Mary Schindler and Terri Schiavo's (search) husband, Michael -- his wife's legal guardian who is fighting to remove the feeding tube that keeps her alive.

I am getting confused about whether you think Terri is still with us or not. Are you saying her physical body is here, but her soul has moved on, because of technology? Please clarify if possible. I'm just not sure I'm understanding you.

50 years ago, or certaintly 100-20,000 years ago we wouldn't be having this debate today. Terri's physical body would have soon followed "Terri the person" at the moment she stoped being Terri Schiavo.

Yes, if Terri had never been resuscitated by the miracle of modern medicine, her body would have died and her soul would move on. Michael would have been fully investigated for murder whether he liked it or not. None of this would have happened if technology hadn't advanced to the stage it was in 1990. But technology did advance, and Terri did survive her "collapse".

You seem to be making the premise that Terri is no longer Terri in her current state. Well, I am not the person I was yesterday or the day before either. A few years ago I had a serious accident. Now I would never have wished to have that happen to me, but since it did, I have learned to accept that my life is different than I planned on. I have a few more limitations than I did a few years ago. And I suspect, that as I age further, even more of my former capabilities will diminish as well. Does that not make me "Ohioan from Florida" any more or less than I was previously? Honestly, I'm just not understanding your point of view, although I am trying.

A lot of us would be dead, if we had lived 50 or 100 years ago. Simple things like an appendix bursting would have done us in.

We don't know what shape Terri would be in today, if she had received proper rehabilitative therapy.

For the very life of me, I can't figure why anyone that wants to die as some of these folks seem to think Terry should, don't just crawl off somewhere and stop breathing.

Hopefully, then, they'd stop posting absurdities about her.

Terri trolls should go to the better place they're always talking about: THE ACLU WEB SITE. They're on HINO's legal team. They have loads of money to pass to any of our CORRUPT JUDGES under their robes here in Pinellas County.

Our judges are a disgrace and engaged in criminal activities on a daily basis. HOW CAN THIS BE? Even Federal Judge Richard Lazzara in Tampa needs to be investigated. He was protecting his pal Judge George Greer when he refused to put this in Federal Court.

Bravo! When do we ask tourists to BOYCOTT Florida? I think if we ask people to email the Governor, our House and Senate members in Tallahassee that they HAVE CHANGED their vacation plans because they can't risk CRIMINAL JUDICIAL ACTIVISM such as has been perpetrated on an innocent woman but, to a state that just passed a bill to prevent CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

Tourists should also INFORM our U.S. Senators and Congressman of same and TELL THEM WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO VACATION INSTEAD.

Can a person who disbelieves in God forget that God sees all? A person who behaves as has Michael Schiavo cannot know God, for God is not mocked. He must be one of those who thinks himself "wiser than God."
