The Hamtramck City Council gave initial approval Tuesday night to allowing mosques in the city to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer over loudspeakers.

The issue, which has divided many of the city's Muslim and Christian residents, has attracted national attention and has evolved from a debate about a noise ordinance to one about religious freedom and tolerance.

I am more than disgusted sir that frame of mind ended on 9/11. I'm fighting mad. My dear 19 year old nephew, whom I love like a son, is with the 3rd Marines on his 2nd tour in Iraq. I would trade every man woman and child in that a$$ whole of the world for his safe return home. The thought of some monkey a$$ "insurgent" taking pot shots at him from a mosque makes me so dang made you could fry a hamburger on my head. Mosques in this country are probably nothing more than future terrorist bases.

No, that sounds a little inaccurate and you probably would have to get too close. How about 150gr on top of 48gr of Varget? You would be traveling in the neighborhood of 2900 feet per second and could sit yourself back a quarter mile or more.

Seeing how aggressive moslems really are when pushing their religion, I'm suprised it's taken this long for them to demand this "right".

It will be interesting to see the reactions of New Yorkers when these demands hit our towns.

This city was dominated by Polish immigrants at one time. I'm sure those buried there are all responding in the same way.

The REAL problem is this liberal diversity accommodating thing has gone to far. A large portion of the new immigration (legal and illegal) have no sense of loyalty to America. As goes the city council of Hamtramck so to will go all the asz sucking political sluts in Congress. One and all, they don't give a damn about our country.
