[history]
The Hamtramck City Council gave initial approval Tuesday night to allowing mosques in the city to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer over loudspeakers.
The issue, which has divided many of the city's Muslim and Christian residents, has attracted national attention and has evolved from a debate about a noise ordinance to one about religious freedom and tolerance.

Could Detroit get worse? Seriously, would the invasion of Islam make Detroit a less hosptiable place?

It is time to heed 2 Chronicles 7:14: If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and change their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive them and heal their land.

Looks like we're going to have to level this city soon.

You are so right. They could have required the heathens take the matter to court where I would have said with a certainty back when - that they will lose. But today's Alice in Wonderland courts could and can do the outrageous.
Denial at the council level would have been certain political death. Ruling for the majority Muslim population has only prolonged the inevitable. Time will find that city council populated by Muslims.
Two-bit politicians have no appreciation for history. They had the chance to go out heroes. Now they'll be remembered as your common everyday political sluts.

I reread my post and yes, it did sound like it was denigrating Christians. I'll be more careful next time. The article took me by surprise. And without thinking, "I let my fingers do the walking." :)

The ACLU (Arabian civil liberties union?) is much to busy burning bibles suing local towns for Christmas and 10 commandment displays, getting Jesus out of the public schools and defending the rights of every deviate, pervert and traitor that wraps themselves in our beloved flag to be bothered with this one. It's tolerance my friend, get used to it.

I understand your disgust. I also like your tag line. To bad that's not the command to our troops in Iraq.
