[history]
The Hamtramck City Council gave initial approval Tuesday night to allowing mosques in the city to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer over loudspeakers.
The issue, which has divided many of the city's Muslim and Christian residents, has attracted national attention and has evolved from a debate about a noise ordinance to one about religious freedom and tolerance.

IMAM LOVE CALL
This is the time of the moon god and the year
When calls go out for all to appear
And this is the song that they hear:
When I'm calling you....oo-oo-oo....oo-oo-oo
Will you answer too?....oo-oo-oo....oo-oo-oo
This means I offer my mosque to you to be your own
If you refuse, I will be blue
And make you rue
But if you hear my loudspeaker ringing clear
Five times a day swirling 'round in your ear
Come join my mosque and then I will know
Our love will come true
You'll belong to me, I'll belong to you.
oo-oo-oo

If the Muslime call to prayers ever starts being blared over loudspeakers in Atlanta, I am afraid you all will be reading about my response in the next days paper. Only if you beat me to it.

Oh, I'm sure the church "leaders" are quiet as the mice they are showing how inclusive and pluralistic they are. They will be very surprised when their churches are burned to the ground and they are murdered in their own homes as is happening in Kosovo and in the Sudan every day by the savage Muslims. But of course, then it will be too late.
Now if there was a real champion for Christ anywhere in that city, he would answer every Muslim call to prayer with a loudspeaker twice as loud proclaiming, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) or the playing of "Onward, Christian Soldiers."

Of course it can ---- islamics despise the USA far more than Indonesia.

When I'm calling you....oo-oo-oo....oo-oo-oo Remember Cat Stevens had some goofy song "I'm being followed by a moon shadow" and next thing he's a muslim.

It seems a lot like a Nazi using accusations of racism or fachism as a way to advance themselves throughout our country. I guess they could now that we're so extremely politically correct.

I have a feeling the Hamtramck muslims are amassing weapons --- they have 2nd amendment rights after all --- that they will be using against us at some future point. They are using the freedoms of our country which they see as a weakness to replace our law with their own.

Well, you need to get other like-minded people in your community to fight this with you. I am horrified at this as I see it as a precedent being set. However, I have no sayin what is going on in Hamtramck. These things happen bit by bit. Whenever you have a force for evil working, it's always the slow and steady pace until it picks up steam and then before you even know it, it's taken over. I see so many similarities to what happened in Germany with the occupation of the Third Reich. Little things happened and many Jews and others excused it as it didn't touch them personally or it didn't affect their business or what have you, but eventually there were not enough people left to fight it.

Numbers
Estimates of the world population of Muslims range from a low of 750 million to a high of 1.2 billion; 950 million is a widely used medium.
Notwithstanding the significant variations in these estimates, many observers agree that the world population of Muslims is increasing by approximately 25 million per year. Thus, a 250-million increase is anticipated for the decade 2000-2100.
(1 Man gets 4 Wifes then BOOM!
your out numbered 4 to 1!)
This significant expansion, due primarily but not entirely to the general population growth in Asia and Africa, is gradually reducing the numerical difference between Christians (the largest religious community) and Muslims, whose combined totals make up almost 50 percent of the world's population.
In the United States and Canada population of Muslims estimates as 9,000,000 peoples.

"...I warn Michigan and it's HIGH POPULATION of muSLIMES:
Michigan is about 4% Muslim. Hardly what I'd call a high population..."
Then why are they capitulating to the 4% MINORITY? The MAJORITY should tell this religious cult what it can do with their broadcast "prayers". There is enough noise polution already. Don't add to it. Stuff like this has a real bad habit of spreading . Stop it now.

While I abhor the hyphenation of America, being a Christain-American would suit me alright.

Remember Cat Stevens had some goofy song "I'm being followed by a moon shadow" and next thing he's a muslim. !!! That's right! The moon shadow was up to no good. Stalked him until he submitted. Who knows what the song could subliminally do to a person.

loudspeakers are easy to sabatage. 230 grains right in the voice coil would do it. I think we need to think a bit more "outside the box" on this one. Anyone know anything about ECM (electronic counter-measures)?
I was just remembering how my old Barracuda used to rile the neighbors. It wasn't the exhaust noise that ticked 'em off, it was the way their televisions and radios would jump and crackle whenever I started the engine. Bear with me here...
The car used to have solid copper core ("racing" type) spark plug wires and non-resistor spark plugs. When that engine was running, the resulting EM noise played hell with TVs and audio systems within about 40 to 50 feet. This was back some 20+ years ago, around the time that the auto stereo market first began pushing subwoofers and related amplifiers, and the first cars with the deafening, pounding music began cruising the streets.
It was always a special treat when some guy in a "boom car" would pull up alongside me at a stoplight. He'd glance over at my old 'Cuda, then crank up his stereo. I'd respond by bringing the engine rpm up to around 2000. I could actually hear a terrible howl/whine/growl coming out of *his* car stereo, and always chuckled at the sight of the guy frantically trying to chop the volume.
My old capers worked at close range, but what we need is something that can interfere with those speakers from a bit further away (other than aimed rifle fire, folks...). Anyone got any ideas, or know anyone who might? Also, does anyone have a ping list of FReepers who might have engineering or scientific knowledge which might be helpful?

Robert, I think I figured it out last night while the server was down; the Hamtramck city council was simply worried that the peace loving muzzy's might stage some sort of peaceful demonstration or other civil disobedience if they did not get what they want. Perhaps burning a Christian church or two, bombing a Synagogue or maybe sending one of their children on a very special surprise public bus ride with a little back pack of goodies (you'll get a bang out of it!). Wouldn't want to annoy these people now would you? Give them what they want, what harm could come of it?

Thanks for the ping!
I am in Houston, Texas now for a few weeks and am sorry I was unable to comment earlier on the violence in Southern Thailand.
Im glad to see that some people if not many are finally beginning to get it. We are at war!! We are at war with Islam despite what you are told. Face the facts.
