Car bomb explodes near British Embassy in Damascus. Shots and explosions are being heard in the capital. Israel media reporting, Channel 2 Israel and other sources.

I admit it. I checked DEBKA.
Reports from Beirut of heavy bomb blasts and gunfire in Damascus, Syria. Residents say several explosions heard in area of capital where western embassies located. Unconfirmed reports that British embassy affected.
